One side of shank has the year 1947 in Roman numeral MCMXLVII. Engraved pattern has a USAF jet airplane, rocket, atomic symbol, world globe and Guardian of Peace banner.
Other side of shank has an eagle, 13 stars, shield and MCMXLVII
